Who is the Girl Behind the lens?

"The photographs you'll treasure most aren't the perfect ones. They're the ones that take you back."

Meet the girl behind the lens!

Hi, I’m Whit.

There have been so many moments in my life when I’ve caught myself thinking, “I wish I had taken more photos.”

Photos from my childhood. Photos with people I love. Photos from ordinary days that I barely remember now.

The older I get, the more I realize just how quickly life changes.

One day you’re rocking a newborn to sleep, and the next you’re packing them off to college. The tiny hands that once reached for yours suddenly don’t fit quite the same. Seasons pass before we even realize they’re gone.

Maybe that’s why photography means so much to me.

It’s not about perfectly posed smiles or creating a picture that looks flawless. It’s about preserving the feeling of this season, exactly as it is.

The laughter.

The chaos.

The quiet in-between moments.

The way your family loves each other right now.

Those are the photographs that become priceless years later.

I’m a wife, mama to five amazing kids, a lover of Jesus, and a Kansas City photographer who believes everyone deserves to have their story documented.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll probably find me chasing little feet around the house, planning our next family adventure, sipping on an iced banana bread matcha, or convincing myself I don’t need another pair of sneakers.

Photography has been part of my story for as long as I can remember. In school, I was the girl who always had a digital camera with her because I never wanted to miss a moment. Becoming a mom only deepened that love. Watching my own children grow has shown me just how quickly the little moments become the ones we treasure most.

When you book a session with me, my goal isn’t just to give you beautiful images.

It’s to create an experience where you can slow down, be present with the people you love, and walk away with photographs that feel like you.

I’ll guide you when you need direction, laugh with your kids when they decide posing is boring, and make space for the genuine moments that could never be recreated.

Because years from now, I don’t want you to remember the pose.

I want you to remember the feeling.

I’d be honored to tell your story.
